birthday and halloween week

This week actually started last Sunday for us because we went to the zoo for their annual Zooboo (Halloween fun at the zoo). Then today we just got home from the children's museum. Tomorrow we are going Trunk or Treating at the church. Thursday, is my 30th birthday and Friday is the actual halloween day :)

I will be uploading pictures in a little bit and If I can get some peace and quiet then maybe I can blog about them shortly too hehehe.

so.. why do i want to blog?

Honestly, I depend on the internet a lot.

I love to "Google" almost everything that comes to mind that I want to know more of.
The internet has been very influential to my shopping decisions (not having a lot of money to shop with made me cautious of what i buy).
When i "Google" something.. the answers are mostly from blogs.

I appreciate everyone who blogs about experiences and reviews because it helps so much when you need a second opinion but you don't want it to come from the salesman or from someone you know and knows you.

So here I am blogging to try to return the favor and hopefully help those who are sometimes lost like me.

30 on the 30th

happy? check.

Steven Curtis Chapman - DIVE

Dive

Why did I name my blog "dive"?

There's this song by Steven Curtis Chapman which is considered to be one of the greatest christian hits of all time.

Let me share the lyrics to you:

The long awaited rains
Have fallen hard upon the thirsty ground
And carved their way to where
The wild and rushing river can be found
And like the rains
I have been carried here to where the river flows yeah
My heart is racing and my knees are weak
As I walk to the edge
I know there is no turning back
Once my feet have left the ledge
And in the rush I hear a voice
Thats telling me its time to take the leap of faith
So here I go

Im diving in Im going deep in over my head I want to be
Caught in the rush lost in the flow in over my head I want to go
The rivers deep the rivers wide the rivers water is alive
So sink or swim Im diving in

There is a supernatural power
In this mighty rivers flow
It can bring the dead to life
And it can fill an empty soul
And give a heart the only thing
Worth living and worth dying for yeah
But we will never know the awesome power
Of the grace of god
Until we let ourselves get swept away
Into this holy flood
So if youll take my hand
Well close our eyes and count to three
And take the leap of faith
Come on lets go

I was born and raised a catholic. I even went to exclusive catholic schools.
I honestly don't have anything against catholicism.

I am just happier where I am at now.
I feel that my relationship with God went up another level.
That's why I am not afraid to dive in any situation God bestows on me.
He knows my weaknesses and strengths.
He knows what I am capable of.

new to blogspot

better late than never - how often is this cliche used?

I've been wanting to start my own blog through this website but I have other social networking sites that i update every now and then (which isn't easy even for a stay at home mom).

I do feel that I should have started this blog early on but then again, sometimes timing is essential too.

Is my timing right? Maybe.

I do want to blog about a lot of things that has happened to me long before i signed up to blogspot but in less than a week from today... I am turning 30. Somehow, I am confused as to how I should begin this blog or how i want it to flow and then I ask myself: "why do i want to blog?"
